Private Sale from a Private Collection
The Ensemble at a Glance
In addition to the dinner plates, this service features exceptionally well-preserved and rare serving pieces. The vibrant "Prussian Blue" (Königsblau) band forms a magnificent contrast with the rich gilt highlighting (Goldstaffierung) and the finely hand-painted polychrome floral bouquets within delicate cartouches.
The Dating (c. 1849–1870)
The base marks provide a clear art-historical classification for this ensemble. The pieces feature the underglaze blue scepter mark in combination with the pressed "Pfennigmarke" and the overglaze stamped red imperial orb (Reichsapfel), which dates the production precisely to the period between 1849 and 1870.
Due to a reorganization of our documentation projects, this museum-quality, closed KPM ensemble is now available for private sale as a complete lot. We are no longer looking for additions, but are offering the entire collection as a single lot.
